Angel Investigations : Inspired by Buffy The Vampire Slayer / Angel

Angel Investigations, also known as Team Angel, was the name of a detective agency specializing in supernatural cases run by Angel.

The agency allowed Angel to openly advertise his willingness to assist people in trouble without specifying the agency’s specialization in supernatural cases; their slogan “We Help the Helpless” (originally “We Help the Hopeless”) was especially appealing to people who were unfamiliar with the supernatural world and therefore were afraid to ask for help, fearing they would be considered crazy, but who were nonetheless in desperate need of aid.

The agency provided Angel and his colleagues a source of income. The group later became known as Team Angel, following the demise of Angel Investigations as a business.

Welcome to Sunnydale : Inspired by Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Sunnydale was a small Californian town, inhabited by the slayer Buffy Anne Summers, until shortly after the empowering of all of the Potential Slayers and the town’s destruction.

A college town, it housed the University of California at Sunnydale. The area of Sunnydale was a concentration of demonic energy, which had its focal point under the old Sunnydale High School, and was caused by this being the site of the Hellmouth, a gateway between the Earthly and Demonic dimensions.

Sunnydale was destroyed and sank into the earth when a massive fissure opened beneath it. Fortunately for the inhabitants, the preceding sense of unrest on the streets and psychic disturbance in the town had already spurred most of the population to leave.

Sunnydale High : Inspired by Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Sunnydale High School was a public high school located in Sunnydale. It was headed by Principal Robert Flutie up until his death in 1997 and then by Principal Snyder. The original school was destroyed on the class of 1999’s Graduation Day in the battle between the Scooby Gang and Mayor Richard Wilkins.

It was rebuilt and reopened in 2002 and headed by Principal Robin Wood until it was destroyed yet again, with the rest of Sunnydale in 2003.

The Bronze : Inspired by Buffy The Vampire Slayer

The Bronze was a nightclub in Sunnydale, pretty much the most popular one. It was located in the “bad part” of Sunnydale, located by the shipping docks and railroad tracks.

Though the Bronze allowed minors inside, it did not serve alcoholic drinks to them. The Bronze also hosted a yearly “Fumigation Party”, in which captured and/or killed cockroaches could be exchanged for free drinks.

Wolfram And Hart : Inspired by Buffy The Vampire Slayer / Angel

Wolfram & Hart, Attorneys at Law was a powerful international and interdimensional law firm.

Wolfram & Hart, and its many incarnations in other dimensions, was actually a front organization for the Wolf, Ram and Hart, an ancient cabal of demons known euphemistically as the “Senior Partners” who worked through their powerful principal agents—the Circle of the Black Thorn.

Wolfram & Hart branches, such as the Los Angeles branch, were created over unconsecrated ground. As of 2004, the firm had branches in every major city in the world, as well as satellite offices in many areas of the world where they helped spread oppression and evil.

Due to its supernatural nature, branches of the firm could be rebuilt or restaffed rather quickly, such as when the Los Angeles branch was completely destroyed by the Beast. The entire staff—according to Lilah, even employees out sick—were slaughtered and the building heavily damaged. Within days, it was back to operating condition with the entire staff replaced.
